
Big B and Big T felicitate Gavaskar and Vishwanath
Sachin Tendulkar is just two days away from completing his 20 years in International Cricket. While the entire nation has been undertaking a collective trip down memory lane, recalling the tales of the boy wonder who traveled to Pakistan for his first international tour in the late 80's, Tendulkar on Thursday got a chance to play a starry-eyed fan to three 70s stars he has grown up idolizing.The occasion was to felicitate batting legends Gavaskar and Viswanath as champion batsman Tendulkar and Bachchan felicitated the duo, which happen to be brothers-in-law in real life.
The four celebrities enthralled the audience with interesting anecdotes as hordes of photographers captured the rare moment of these four legends being together on stage.
On this occasion Sachin Tendulkar told the media that his Cricketing idol Sunil Gavaskar personally came to greet him after he broke his record of 34 centuries. He said it was indeed a touching moment to see Gavaskar waiting for him.
Gavaskar said during this occasion, that " He would like to be a fast bowler and give it back to all those who had hurled bouncers at him if he get chace to reborn"
Vishwanath also with his witty and humorous stories about his playing days and how he had struck a friendship with Gavaskar, kept the audience spellbound.
"We have had some wonderful partnership on the cricket field but our partnership in life has been going strong and I hope it will continue to remain so," Viswanath said.
The felicitation was organised by Trikitadah, a musical group.
